Declarations of Interest

Councillors are reminded of the need to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests that relate to business on the agenda and which have not already been included in the register of interests, before any discussion takes place on the item. Unless the interest is sensitive, you must also disclose the nature of the interest. That it is recommended to Council to:-

 

(1)          adopt the proposals as set out at paragraphs 8.4 – 8.13 of the report presented to the Executive, for implementation from a revised register of electors to be published on 1 February 2017;

 

(2)          formally publish its final report on the Review of Parliamentary Polling Districts and Places within the Exeter Constituency by 27 January 2017, as required by the Representation of the People Act 1983 (RPA 1983); and

 

(3)          complete a further review by 31 January 2020, as required by the RPA1983; or as necessary, in relation to the 2018 Review of Parliamentary Constituencies.

Minutes:

The report of the Corporate Manager, Democratic & Civic Support was submitted setting for consideration proposals for new Parliamentary polling district and polling places arrangements recommended as a result of the Local Government Boundary Commission’s final recommendations regarding new electoral arrangements in the Devon County Council Divisions within the Exeter City Council area.

 

RECOMMENDED that Council:-

 

(1)          adopt the proposals as set out at paragraphs 8.4 – 8.13 of the report presented to the Executive, for implementation from a revised register of electors to be published on 1 February 2017;
