The Allotment forum was formed to help develop the communication between the council and allotment association and tenants across all the allotment sites in the city. Due to the council restructure 3 years ago we were no longer able to provide the level of service we once could, and dramatic changes to the running of the sites would have to be made. The Forum allowed us to discuss these changes and issues with the plot holders directly and agree on a new management system that resulted in them being given greater responsibilities and freedoms.
The forum now acts as a regular check-up for both parties to see how the new system is developing, iron out issues and respond to new difficulties together as they arise.
