Purpose:

To appoint Councillor Zion Lights as director of Exeter City Futures CIC.

Decision:

To appoint Zion Lights as director of Exeter City Futures CIC.

Reasons for the decision:

Zion Lights has become Member Champion for Net Zero to support the work of the Portfolio Holder for climate change. The Chief Executive of Exeter City Council has since been accepted as the CEO of Exeter City Futures and therefore it is appropriate that he stand down as the director on the board of Exeter City Futures.

Was an Equality Impact Assessment carried out and what were the findings:

The appointment would present a better gender balance on the board of ECF.

Alternative options considered:

That the Portfolio Holder for Climate Change be appointed to the Board as Director.
