Decision details

The report of the Head of Environmental Health Services was submitted, presenting Members with a revised recycling plan for the next five years, 2011 – 2016. The Director Community and Environment advised Members on the challenges and proposed new initiatives.

Members discussed the need for composite targets to reflect the reduction in packaging which could affect recycling targets.

Scrutiny Committee – Community considered the report at their meeting of 18 January 2011 and their support was noted. 

Executive resolved that the Recycling Plan 2010-2016 be approved.
