To appoint a Chair for the meeting.

 

Minutes:

Councillor Banyard was appointed as Chair for this meeting.

Declarations of Interest

Councillors are reminded of the need to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests that relate to business on the agenda and which have not already been included in the register of interests, before any discussion takes place on the item. Unless the interest is sensitive, you must also disclose the nature of the interest. The Chair introduced the Members of the Licensing Sub-Committee together with the Legal Services Manager, Licensing Officer, and Democratic Services Officer.

 

The Legal Services Manager set out the hearing procedure, and the Applicants, who were in attendance, agreed that the procedure was understood.

 

The Licensing Officer presented the application to determine an application to grant a premises licence to Savers Health and Beauty Limited, 18 – 19 Cowick Street, Exeter, EX4 1AL, as set out in the report.

 

It was confirmed that two representations had been received within the statutory representation period. The representations were listed as an appendix to the report. It was confirmed that the application had been advertised on the premises and in the newspaper in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.

 

The Applicant spoke in support of their application and responded to questions from Members and Officers.

 

The Applicant summed up their application.

 

All parties present were advised that a decision notice would be issued within 5 working days of the hearing.

 

The meeting was closed so the Members could determine the application.

 

RESOLVED that the application be granted as applied for, as set out in the Determination Notice.
